About Us

Witham Lodge is the oldest Masonic lodge in Lincolnshire, and although we were established in 1793, we can trace our lineage back to 1730.

Our meetings have been held in various buildings within the city of Lincoln for the past 286 years, currently meeting at the Lincoln Masonic Centre on Nettleham Road, Lincoln, formerly known as The Nightingale Pub.

We meet every second Monday of the month, but have a break in January, and again from June to September.

Freemasonry means different things to each of those who join. For some itís about making new friends, for others itís about being able to help deserving causes, making a contribution to family and society. But for all, it is an enjoyable hobby.

Each year Witham Lodge chooses a local charity to raise money for; this has included Hykeham Sailability, Lincoln Samaritans, St Barnabas Hospice, and the Weirfield Wildlife Hospital.

We also donate to the Province of Lincolnshire, and to the Masonic Grand Charity, where we see our contribution added to other funds, which has led to donations to, for example the RNLI, a Mobile Chemotherapy Unit used in Lincoln, and a machine used to screen for prostate cancer.
